Mission of Program

The Baylor Program for Collaborative Conversation and Race promotes meaningful conversations to improve U. S. race relations.

Rationale

Collaborative conversations are meaningful result-oriented conversations promoting an atmosphere whereby all interested parties are given a platform to express their concerns and work together to find solutions. This approach contrasts with efforts to either ignore racial problems or antiracist approaches which do not foster a full discussion. The Baylor Program for Collaborative Conversations and Race will attract interested parties fostering interaction and social networking. This organization will also promote research into the viability of collaborative conversations to ameliorate the racial tension in the United States.
